HARRY BRAUN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Introduction: The Crete Area Chamber of Commerce is offering a $1,000.00 scholarship to a high school graduate from Crete Township or the Village of Crete. The scholarship will be paid in $500.00 amounts with the first payment made in August, and the second payment to be made next August. The second payment would be contingent on the student being accepted as a full time student in the accredited College or University of their choice. All payments will be made to the institution.
Purpose: It is the intention of the Crete Area Chamber of Commerce to award this scholarship to a Crete Township/Village student that will be pursuing a higher education as a full time student. The scholarship represents the desire of the Crete Area Chamber of Commerce to foster a climate of encouraging students to continue their education, to be more business oriented and to be of greater service to their community. The scholarship can be applied to any field of study.
Deadline for accepting applications: April 15, 2008

Requirements:

2. Create a one page essay, not to exceed one page, about yourself and why this scholarship is important to you.
3. Obtain a letter of recommendation from any member of the Crete Area Chamber of Commerce.
4. Please attach your essay and letter of recommendation to your application.
5. Return the completed application to the Crete Area Chamber of Commerce by the due date.
